Laura Dixon is an established travel writer who has been writing about Iceland for over 15 years. She wrote Footprint's first guide to the city of Reykjavík and has been updating it ever since, as the country weathered a financial crisis, a volcanic eruption and saw questions develop about its role in Europe and its relationship with the environment. She likes nothing more than swimming in hot springs and feastin on Nizza chocolate and licorice bars. As for Hakarl, nei takk. Her wildest adventures in Iceland have involved partying in the midnight sun, chasing the Northern Lights and polar bear spotting. She lives with her family in the UK and returns to Reykjavík as often as she can.
