David Stott

Born in the vibrant suburbs of Peterborough, David Stott acquired his taste for India in the womb via the Shah Jehan’s butter chicken, but it took 28 years before India (or rather, one insane week in Mumbai) grabbed him in a ferocious cheek pinch and refused to let go.

After a decade exploring and writing about South Asia, he’s finally decided that the minute you think you get India, you’ve lost it.

It took a decade of travelling in India before he finally rolled up his trousers and waded across to the kinder, gentler waters of Sri Lanka; but it only took one Sri Lankan sunset to turn him from an avowed Indophile into a fully fledged South Asia addict.

David now splits his time between India, Sri Lanka and his home in Australia’s Blue Mountains, where he lives with his wife and son.
