Traslasierra Valley

Situated west of the Sierra Grande, Traslasierra (literally, 'across the mountains') is far less developed for tourism than neighbouring valleys, but ideal for those looking for an adventure. With its drier climate and generally slower pace of life, it's also a perfect place to relax for a few days. It can either be accessed from Córdoba city by the camino de las Altas Cumbres from the north, via the long but not uninteresting Route 15 across the Pampa de Pocho, or from the south, via Villa Dolores into San Luis province. See www.valledetraslasierra.com.ar, www.turismotraslasierra.com.ar (in Spanish), and www.traslasierramix.com.ar.
