Where can I find a Footprint guide?

Can I place an advance order for a book?

Yes, we accept advance orders for new titles up to a month before publication – the website will detail provisional delivery dates. Please order in the normal way and we will despatch your order as soon as the book is published.

How do I know which is the most up-to-date edition of your titles?

Information on all our guides including ISBN, edition and year of publication can be found on each book page on our website.

How can I find out if a new edition is to be released?

Soon to be released titles are listed on our homepage as well as added to our regional and Lifestyle & Activity sections along with current editions.

What is the difference between your full-colour destination format and handbook format for the same country/region, should I buy the New Zealand Handbook or the full-colour New Zealand destination guide?

The destination guides are full colour and perhaps designed more for the holiday-maker than traveller. They tend to cover the more mainstream areas of a destination and whilst they do provide local insights to regions and cities, they don't take readers far off the beaten track. What they do do however is provide a huge amount of valuable and beautifully illustrated information about the areas covered enabling visitors to get the best experience out of their travels.

The handbooks meanwhile, cover countries in extensive detail, providing a huge breadth and depth of content enabling travellers to decide both how to travel around a region and what they want to see whilst there. The handbooks are designed for travellers wanting an authentic experience of a country and those that wish to avoid the well-trodden tracks of other tourists.

We’re often sent incredible images from readers on their travels and as a result of reader requests we’ve set-up a Footprint Flickr library. If you would like to see your picture in print in one of the world’s leading travel guides or online, then find us on our Flickr library.
