Hungary

Positioned in Central Europe and sharing borders with no less than seven European neighbours, Hungary may be small in size but it is packed with historical and cultural interest. This is showcased in its world heritage listed capital, Budapest. Situated either side of the romantic river Danube, the architecturally rich city retains an old world charm that dazzles alongside its modern day persona. The city challenges tourists to explore the sights, relax in the thermal spas or taste the delicious Hungarian national dish of goulash. Explore further afield and you will find a country studded with stunning landscapes such as the enormous Lake Balaton, hot springs and thermal spa towns. If it’s the cultural tradition that appeals more then Hungary boasts this in equal measure with a strong folk and classical music offering that is world-renowned.
