Czech Republic

Formed in 1993, the Czech
Republic is the youngest sibling in the European family but it’s still dripping
in historical castles and Baroque chateaux thanks to its former life as Moravia
and Bohemia. Most people come to the Czech Republic to visit its centerpiece,
Prague, which was isolated from Europe during decades of Soviet-rule. The
medieval streets and classic baroque architecture have been perfectly preserved
and form a beautiful backdrop for the café culture enjoyed by tourists and
locals alike. Almost as popular as Prague is the Czech beer that is brewed in
the towns of Plzeň and České
Budějovice. The stag and hen
brigade may have discovered this in their droves but the locals have been at it
for some time and can boast the highest beer consumption per capita title, Na
zdraví!
