Arunachal Pradesh

This is Northeast India's largest and most remote state. The Tawang Monastery, birthplace of the sixth Dalai Lama and surrounded by awesome mountainscapes, is a major attraction, along with the rich tribal heritage throughout the state. In the east, the forests canopies of Namdapha National Park shelter elephant, clouded leopard, snow leopard, tiger, Himalayan black bear, red panda and musk deer.
