West Bank and Theban Necropolis

On the West Bank, depending on your interest, it takes a day to cover the major highlights or up to two full days to visit in its entirety. Although the West Bank is dominated by the Theban Necropolis and the Valley of the Kings, there are also some fascinating temples and monuments above ground worth exploring, in particular the Ramesseum and Medinat Habu, which are not on the standard itineraries of large tour companies. In addition, the Tombs of the Nobles have few visitors but some of the most colourful and interesting paintings and they really shouldn't be missed.
