Ferry

Ferries connect Hurghada on the Red Sea coast to Sharm El-Sheikh in the Sinai five times a week. The boats are fast catamarans so the journey takes just 90 minutes.

Nile cruises, felucca and dahabiyas

Heading up the Nile on a cruise boat,

is one of the quintessential Egyptian experiences. Cruise boats travel from Luxor to Aswan, while
dahabiyas
go between Esna and Aswan, and on Lake Nasser.
Feluccas
go downstream from Aswan to finish at Kom Ombo (one night) or Edfu (two nights). River trips are a great way to get around Egypt and see some wonderful sights along the way.
