Nile Delta

Throughout the Delta, countless branches of the River Nile cut through cities, villages and fields that see few tourist visitors. The fertility of the area has enabled this scorched desert country, of which just 4% of the land is cultivable, to support its huge population and to export large quantities of fruits and vegetables. Travelling around is easiest and quickest by microbus and service taxi.
