It’s a long way to go to Tipperary, but it’s definitely worth the trip… as is the rest of the Emerald Isle – named so for its lush green countryside.  Ireland is the third largest island in Europe and lies just off the west coast of Great Britain, separated by the Irish Sea.  At just over 300 miles from North to South, it’s a great holiday destination for exploring in a relatively short time.  In a matter of days kids can totally immerse themselves in the island’s myths and legends, guaranteed to fuel the imagination.  On the North East Coast they can walk in the footsteps of giants while on the West Coast they can go monster spotting in the waters surrounding Achill Island or make the journey over to Tory to meet Ireland’s only King.  Ireland is a country ripe for adventure with acres of magnificent countryside and hundreds of miles of dramatic coastline providing a fantastic outdoor playground.  Visitors are assured of a warm welcome, complementing the mild climate, and making it a very family-friendly destination.  The humour, referred to as the “craic”, and hospitality of the Irish people, North and South, are almost as legendary as the country’s Celtic folklore.
